About
A small studio.Maryland-built.
MD Business Link LLC is a small, owner-operated web design studio. We exist because the businesses that hold the DMV together, the contractors, restaurants, salons, mechanics, medical practices, and retail brands, deserve websites and online presences that look as good as the work they do.
Why we exist
Most Maryland small businesses get one of two things online: either a $99 template-builder site that loads in four seconds and looks like every other plumber in the country, or a $15,000 agency build that takes six months and gives them a CMS they're afraid to touch.
Neither is what an independent restaurant in Fells Point, a family contractor in Frederick, or a new medical practice in Silver Spring actually needs. They need a custom-built site, live this week, that loads fast, ranks for the things their customers search, and looks like a brand worth doing business with.
That's the gap we close. Tier 1 sites can launch in 48 hours. Tier 2 in under a week. Tier 3, our full custom apps with Supabase backends, Stripe checkout, and booking flows, ship in two weeks. All custom-coded. All owned by you the moment final payment clears.
How we work
I.
Local first
We work with businesses in our own backyard so we can read the streets they're trying to win. A landscaper in Howard County needs different copy than a hair salon in Adams Morgan. We know both.
II.
Coded, not templated
No drag-and-drop builders, no template marketplaces, no off-the-shelf themes. Every page is custom-coded and built to last.
III.
Speed as respect
Your visitor decides in 1.2 seconds whether to stay. We build for that 1.2 seconds. It's also a form of respect for your customer's time and data plan.
IV.
Honest scope
If a tier 1 site is what you need, we'll sell you tier 1. We'd rather have you back next year for a bigger build than upsell you today into something you can't justify.
The name
The chain link in our logo is a Maryland flag.
It symbolizes what we do. We connect Maryland businesses to the customers searching for them. The Calvert red, the gold, the cross-bottony shape, every Marylander recognizes them. That's kind of the point.
